Gardai seize cannabis and cocaine after planned raids in Limerick village

GARDAI have conducted an operation in east Limerick targeting the sale / supply of drugs and anti-social behaviour in a village.

Uniform and plainclothes officers descended on Cappamore on the afternoon of Thursday, March 19 and carried out a series of raids.

A video, which has been widely shared on social media, shows gardai searching a green area in a housing estate. It also purportedly shows gardai apprehending a man who is on the ground.

A garda spokesperson confirmed they searched two residential properties in Cappamore. 

“Quantities of cannabis and cocaine were seized. No arrests have been made at this time.

"Investigations are ongoing,” said a garda spokesperson.
