Gardaí in Croom are investigating the burglary and are asking anyone who may have information in relation to this burglary or the stolen vehicles to contact them on 061 397240.

Another vehicle was stolen and later recovered in Corbally.

Sgt O'Halloran stated: "On 18th December, a black BMW 5 Series, 2006 registration, was stolen from the front of a house in Carraig Midhe, Corbally. The vehicle was later recovered in the Ardnacrusha area."

Gardaí in Ardnacrusha are investigating and are appealing to anyone who observed suspicious activity in the Corbally or Ardnacrusha areas overnight on December 18 to contact them on 061 345136.

"We would strongly remind people to always lock their doors and windows, even if they’re only leaving the house for a short time," concluded the local crime prevention officer.

"Set your alarm and ensure your home appears occupied, with lights on and set timer switches to turn lights on
when you are out. Remember car keys should be kept out of sight and away from doors or windows, and keep vehicles locked when unattended."
