BREAKING: Limerick man extradited from United Kingdom on serious charges to appear in court

The accused is understood to be from West Limerick

A COUNTY Limerick man has been extradited from the United Kingdom in relation to a number of serious offences, gardai have confirmed this Tuesday morning.

A garda spokesperson said the male, aged in his 20s, was arrested in the United Kingdom on foot of an international bench warrant.

Gardaí then arrested the man in Ireland on June 25 “in relation to the ongoing investigations into a number of offences”.

“He was charged and is remanded to appear in front of the Limerick District Court this morning, Tuesday, July 8.

“Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.

The accused is understood to be from West Limerick.
