A MAN who is charged with the murder of Noel Campion in Limerick city more than 18 years ago will be tried in Dublin after lawyers for the prosecution successfully applied for the case to be moved out of the city.
Darragh Quinlivan, aged 41, originally from Limerick City but with an address in Manchester, UK, is charged with murdering Noel Campion (35) on the northside of Limerick city on April 26, 2007.
Mr Justice Paul McDermott agreed to the State application at a pretrial hearing at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin on Friday.
The trial remains scheduled for January 12, 2026 despite the change in venue.

Mr Campion was shot dead as he was riding as a back passenger on a motorbike at Thomondgate in Limerick city - close to St Munchin's Church.
His killer stepped out from a phone box and fired a number of shots from a handgun as the motorbike drove by.
