Limerick camogie championship semi-finals to take place this weekend

Limerick Camogie Championship take place this weekend with both Cup and Plate semi-finals in the Limerick Senior Camogie Championship taking place on Saturday, September 28.

In the Senior Camogie Championship only Bruff and Newcastle West remain unbeaten after winning all three of their group games in the campaign to date.

Bruff have led the way in Group A of the championship following victories over Monaleen and Na Piarsaigh. They finished off their group games with a 2-15 to 1-9 win over Crecora to book a semi-final against Ahane in Athlacca on Saturday evening at 5.45pm

Much like Bruff, Newcastle West have remained in the top spot of group B of the championship with three wins from three, most recently a 2-12 to 1-8 victory over Killeedy. They now take on Na Piarsaigh in their Cup semi-final on Saturday after the Caherdavin side finished up second in group A of the competition.

The Plate semi-finals will also take place this weekend with third place Monaleen hosting Adare while Killeedy take on Crecora in the second semi-final. 

Monaleen were unfortunate to lose out to Na Piarsaigh in their final group game by three points, finishing off the campaign with a win and two defeats. Killeedy, on the other-hand, finished just above Adare on points difference earning them a home semi-final on Saturday evening.

The Cup and Plate semi-finals in the Gerald Griffins Intermediate Camogie Championship also take place this Sunday morning at 11am. 

Croagh-Kilfinny have emerged top of group one with an impressive campaign to date with three wins in the group stages. They will now take on group two second-place finishers Templeglantine in this weekends semi-final.

First place in group two, Patrickswell, will enjoy home advantage in their semi-final contest against Granagh/Ballingarry this Sunday.

In the Plate semi's third place in group one Cappamore will get a bye into the final as Galbally face off against Murroe Boher.

The Waste Ward Products Junior A championship is still in the group stages with all round four games taking place at 2pm this Sunday afternoon, apart from Feenagh/Kilmeedy's clash with a throw-in at 5:45pm. 

Top of group one Blackrock/Effin will get a bye in this round as Killeedy host Newcastle West and Feenagh/Kilmeedy taking on second place St Ailbes. 

In group two, after a two round break, action gets going again. Mungret St Paul's will play Ballybrown while Monaleen face Doon.
