Limerick law companies announce merger

LIMERICK and Clare-based legal firm MHP Sellors has merged with long-established local solicitors practice Breen Geary McCarthy and Shee.

In a statement, management at the two companies have said both have “similar values and cultures”.

Together, a larger firm with even greater resources and expertise can be established, they added.

Speaking at the announcement Stephen Keogh, managing partner of MHP Sellors said: “I extend a warm welcome to the Breen Geary McCarthy team. This strategic move will see all clients benefit from a strengthened team and a wealth of professional knowledge and expertise.”

Colman O’Donovan, of Breen Geary McCarthy and Shee added: “Forty years of client service will be continued with extra resources and the culture where clients would be given the service and professional advice they have come to depend on. We are delighted to be joining the team at MHP Sellors.”

MHP Sellors have offices in Ennis and Limerick - at Glentworth Street in the city centre, providing a full suite of legal services.

Meanwhile, Breen Geary McCarthy and Shee are based at Lower Hartstonge Street, also in the city centre.
