Managing director of Metis Ireland Carl Widger and Declan King, its new chief investments officer
BOSSES at city financial planners Metis Ireland have appointed a new chief investment officer as the firm looks to grow to €1bn of funds under management.
Declan King joins the O’Connell Street based firm from Davy Select Ireland.
Here, he held the role of head of investments as part of a nine year career with the stockbroker.

Mr King began his financial consultancy career in New York with First Derivatives in 2011, before returning to Ireland in 2014 to join Deloitte, followed by his move to Davy.
Originally from Tramore in Waterford, he graduated from University College Cork with a First Class Honours Degree in civil and environmental engineering.
He holds both Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst professional designations.

Metis Ireland currently employs a team of 23 across its Limerick and Dublin offices, with recent promotions including former Dublin GAA football star, Paddy Andrews, as director of private clients.
