UPDATE: Limerick to Dublin motorway re-opens following multi-vehicle collision

BREAKING: Emergency services attend multi-vehicle crash on Limerick to Dublin motorway

A section of the M7 was closed for a number of hours following a multi-vehicle collision

A SECTION of the M7 motorway has re-opened after it was closed following a multi-vehicle collision this Wednesday morning.

The collision happened at around 7.30am on the northbound carriageway of the M7 between Junction 25 (Nenagh Centre) and Junction 23 (Moneygall).

Gardai, paramedics and four units of Tipperary Fire and Rescue from Nenagh and Cloughjordan all attended the scene which has since been cleared.

According to AA Roadwatch, conditions in the area remain icy and motorists travelling in both directions are being urged to exercise caution.

It is not known if there have been any injuries as a result of this morning's collision which resulted in some delays for motorists travelling between Limerick and Dublin.
