EVERY year has its highs and lows but as years go, 2022 was one hell of a roller coaster ride!
And who better than the Limerick Leader / Limerick Live team to take a look back on the year that was and pack it all into one big offering - our Christmas Annual.
Since we have come out of the Covid lockdowns, and day-to-day living has resumed normal service, it seems as if life - both locally and internationally - is moving at the rate of knots.
Little did we think when we sang Auld Lang Syne at midnight on December 31 last that we would be opening our homes and hotels to 60,000 people from a war-torn Ukraine or that we would be having serious discussions on the threat of a Russian nuclear strike.
While internationally 2022 has played out as a real white-knuckle ride, locally there has been plenty of ups and downs too.
A firm favourite with Limerick folk both near and far, the Limerick Annual chronicles all the top stories that broke across the city and county over the past 12 months.
There are picture specials and quizzes and plenty for sports lovers to reflect on as we feature key moments in sport across our city and county.
For all you hurling fans out there, there is a two-page poster on our three-in-a-row hurling giants!
We also feature those well-known faces who tied the knot in 2022 and take a look back on life in Limerick this past year through our favourite photos. We also remember those treasured loved ones who sadly passed away over the past 12 months.
Our team have loved working on this publication which brings back some great memories of what was a special year in Limerick.
