Positive weekend for Limerick sides in Domino's Super League and Division One action

ALL four Limerick sides were in action last weekend in Domino's Super League and Division One action.

In Domino's Men's Super League, the Limerick Celtics lost to Griffith College Éanna on a scoreline of 87-72. Jaylyn Richardson led the way for Éanna with 25 points, but had big help from the bench, with Neil Lynch adding 20 points in 19 minutes.

AJ Williams had his fourth 30+ point game of the season, to extend his lead at the top of the points scoring table for players across the league, having a 36-point game for Celtics in the defeat.

Éanna are 12-8 for the season, set in fourth position. It is looking like they will face one of UCD Marian or St. Vincent’s in the opening round of the playoffs.

For Celtics, their fate of being in the playoffs is all but sealed as they sit in seventh, currently projected to head to Belfast Star.

In Domino's Women's Division One action, the Limerick Celtics secured a 68-55 win over Clunetech Kilkenny Stars at O'Loughlin Gaels.

Jordan Hehir's side sit joint second in the table alongside Templeogue and fellow county side, the Limerick Sport Huskies on 39 points securing themselves a play-of berth as the season reaches its business end.

Also in Women's Division One action, the Limerick Sport Huskies recorded a 84-58 win over Abbey Seals Dublin Lions at Cóláiste Bríde.

That result leaves Patrick O'Regan's side sitting joint second in the table alongside Templeogue and the Limerick Celtics.

Like the Celtics, the Huskies have secured themselves a play-off position.

In Domino's Men's Division One action, the Limerick Sport Eagles were defeated at the hands of the Dublin Lions at Cóláiste Bríde.

Despite the loss, Niall McDermott's side sit third in the table on 45 points, securing a play-off position ahead of next weekend's clash away to the Killarney Cougars.
