32 points from Limerick Sport Eagles' Alex Carlisle helped them to an 84-68 win against Templeogue at MTU Arena on Saturday, to set up a Domino's MD1 National Cup final date against Drogheda Wolves in two weeks.

Eagles came out of the traps fast, scoring the opening eight points of the game and would continue to race into an 18-3 lead in the opening minutes of the game. Scores from Eduardo Castano and Wilfried Omorusi would reduce the deficit for Templeogue, but Eagles would still hold a 12-point lead.
Templeogue would produce a much more stern showing in the second period of play, with the first nine points of the second quarter to come back to within three points, but a strong finish to the half from Eagles would see them go in at half-time with a nine-point cushion.
After a 14-point first quarter, Alex Carlisle would come out on fire in the second half. Carlisle would go on to score 13 of his 32 points in the third quarter on 5-7 shooting with 100% shooting from three-point range. Even with a 22-point third quarter, Templeogue still could not find a singular lead in this game, with Eagles entering the final ten minutes of the game with a 13-point gap in the scoreline.
It was Fryderyk Klimas who stood out in the fourth for the Eagles, with all ten of his points coming in the fourth, with just eight minutes of play from him in the fourth. Both sides traded baskets in the fourth, but to no avail for the Dublin side, as the Eagles only extended their lead and would run out 16-point victors.
After the double-double from Tobias Christensen and 32 from Carlisle, Eagles meet fellow Division One playoff hopefuls in Drogheda Wolves in the Domino’s MD1 National Cup final in Tallaght in two weeks time.

The Limerick Sport Huskies will take on Cleveland Rockets at the National Basketball Arena in two weeks’ time in the Domino's WD1 National Cup final after three 20+ point quarters to cruise past Moy Tolka Rovers, 74-45, at MTU in Cork.
Tolka started the game brightly, taking three separate leads in the opening five minutes of the game. But as the quarter wore on, Huskies got stronger, going on a 15-4 run inside the final five minutes of the first quarter. Hannah Cremin, Shelby Harmeyer and Clara Gomez were all scoring at will as Huskies took a nine-point lead into the second quarter.
In quarter two, it was almost a carbon copy of the first. Both sides were trading scores in the opening minutes, and this time it was Gomez who took over as she scored eight points in a 14-2 run to give Huskies a 20-point gap to bring into the half-time break.
The third quarter was just Limerick dominance; Huskies held Tolka to just five third-quarter points, finishing the quarter with eight unanswered points to give them their largest lead of the game at 36 points. Shelby Harmeyer scored eight of her 17 points in the third, shooting 3-5 from the field, including two threes.
Tolka managed to bounce back in the fourth, with six different players scoring for the Dublin side, including six from Elaine Kenny, who scored a team-high 12 points. The big difference in the fourth quarter for Tolka was the reduction in turnovers. Just one turnover in the final quarter in comparison to 18 in the other three, which was a major cause of Tolka’s struggle, which saw Huskies run the game in transition.
Huskies will be hoping for a repeat of the league fixture between them and Cleveland when they face them in two weeks’ time after a 76-69 triumph in Lisburn back in October.

Templeogue kept themselves into the contest, a jump shot by Grace Miley saw them trail 47-38 with less than three minutes to go in the third quarter. A minute later a three from Megan Hehir and a Maebh Purtill’s basket inside the paint had Limerick Celtics 54-40 to the good, Maebh Purtill had picked up 13 points at that stage. It would be 54-43 by the end of the third quarter.
Templeogue raced out of the blocks in the fourth quarter, Katie Behan’s two point jump shot beat the shotclock, followed by a corner three by Laura Byrne reduced it to 54-48 with a little over a minute gone.

Limerick Celtics responded immediately with a layup from Robyn Walsh and a jump shot from Laura Buckley to restore a 10 point advantage, 61-51. The game was running away from Templeogue, another Booth three kept it at 64-54.
