Mixed bag of results for Limerick sides in Domino's Super League and Division One action

IT was a mixed bag of results for Limerick sides in Domino's Super League and Division One action last weekend.

In Domino's Men's Super League action, the Limerick Celtics defeated Flexachem KCYMS 84-77. AJ Williams had his highest-scoring game of the season so far with 28 points, while Ruairi Cronin also had his best performance with 19 points for Celtics.

New signing Tony Hauser also put on a solid display with his first double-double for the Limerick side. A combined 38 points from Jeffery Okeke and Jordan Blount wasn't enough for Killorglin in what was one of the closer games of the weekend, with 17 lead changes in the game. The win for Celtics now has them at 4-7, along with Killorglin in eighth and ninth, respectively.

Next up for Hehir's side is a trip to Cork to face Ballincollig at the MTU Arena, tip-off is at 2pm on Sunday. 

In Domino's Women's Division One action, the Limerick Celtics kept their winning streak going with an excellent win in Crescent College Saturday versus a youthful Kilkenny side.

After an even first-half Limerick Celtics experience showed in the third quarter where they pulled ahead by 20 points and Head-Coach Jordan Hehir closed out the game giving the young guns on the bench significant minutes as they kept up the high standard set to give Celtics a 79-57 victory. 
Next up for the Celtics is a Limerick derby against high-flying Limerick Huskies on Sunday at 7pm at Crescent College. 
In Men's Division One action, the Limerick Sport Eagles impressive winning streak came to an end against Kerry's Killarney Cougars.
Niall McDermott's side fell to a two-point loss, 85-83 at St Muchin's College. Next up for the Eagles is a trip to the Midlands to face ND Audit Portlaoise Panthers on Saturday.
The Limerick Sport Huskies' fine run of results also came to an end last weekend when they were defeated by Abbey Seals Dublin Lions at the LETT'S.
Patrick O'Regan's side were defeated on a scoreline of 78-73 but they will be looking to bounce back this Sunday when they face their Limerick counterparts.
