BASKETBALL returned to the Treaty County last weekend in what was a positive weekend for Limerick basketball.

The Limerick Celtics men's side returned to the Super League for the first time in almost a decade and Tony Hehir's side made a winning return, defeating Ballincollig of Cork by the slimmest of margins.
The Limerick men were able to eke out a one-point win, 88-87, a Finn Hughes jump shot in the final 16 seconds secured victory in front of a packed UL Arena.
Next up for Hehir's charges is trip to Mercy College to face EJ Sligo All-Stars on Saturday.
A Limerick derby kick started Women's Division One action when the Limerick Sport Huskies welcomed the Limerick Celtics to the LETT's School.
The sides met at the semi-final stage of last year's play-off where overtime was needed to separate the sides in St Munchin's College. The Celtics ended up five-point victors on the day before losing out to McEvoy's Cavan Eagles in the final.
Limerick Celtics were able to repeat that feat last weekend claiming a 76-69 derby win, Katie Black came off the bench to score 21 points.
Celtics will be looking to build on last week's win when they travel to Belfast to face Cleveland Rockets. Limerick Sport Huskies will be looking to bounce back when they welcome Clunetech Kilkenny Stars to Limerick.
There was also Limerick involvement in Men's Division One action, with the Limerick Sport Huskies getting off to a winning start in Tipperary.
Niall McDermott's side travelled to the 'Premier County' looking to kick-start their campaign with an all important win.
The Eagles were beaten last season at Scoil Ruain Killenaule but McDermott's charges rectified that result this time around with a dominant 15-point win over Tipp Talons, 82-67.
Next up for the Eagles is a home tie at the UL Arena when they welcome Moy Tolka Rovers from the capital on Saturday night.
