LIMERICK'S Íde Nic Domhnaill said she was "relaxed and not thinking about the rest of the competitors" as she crossed the line of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon in first place in a time of 33 minutes 23 seconds.
The West Limerick AC athlete is no stranger to the winners podium with this victory another one to add to the collection. Almost 25,000 women took part in the charity race.
Íde Nic Domhnaill spoke to RTÉ after the race saying: "It's one of those races that you don't think about your competition, you are just relaxed and enjoying it really."
Over a million women have done this event since its inception in 1983, and nearly a quarter of a billion euro has been raised since.
