Limerick Minister to meet with film studios and gaming executives in trade mission to Los Angeles

Minister Patrick O'Donovan will lead a trade mission to Los Angeles to meet with Ireland’s creative partners across film, TV, animation and gaming

MINISTER for Arts and Limerick TD, Patrick O’ Donovan together with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs – will lead a trade mission to Los Angeles to meet with Ireland’s creative partners across film, television, animation and gaming.

This Trade Mission will see a number of meetings taking place with senior executives from LA-based studios and production companies. The delegation will also meet with creative executives from the gaming sector, strengthening growing relationships to support the development of a strong creative base in Ireland for storytelling, development and production across digital games.

Speaking about the trade mission, Minister Patrick O'Donovan, said:

“Ireland has a history of strong links with the creative screen industry in LA and this Trade Mission aims to further strengthen relationships with US partners. I will work on behalf of the Irish film and gaming industries to strengthen working relationships between the Irish sector and the world’s largest studios, streamers and production companies.”

Désirée Finnegan, Chief Executive, Screen Ireland, added:

“Screen Ireland champions Irish filmmakers and creative talent, both on screen and behind the camera. Our collective ambition is to support the continued development of Ireland as a creative hub for narrative storytelling and artistry across the creative screen industries – including film, television, animation, documentary, VFX and digital games.”
