Moncrieff announces headline show in Limerick next summer

Waterford singer and musician Moncrieff will take to the stage in Limerick next summer

MONCRIEFF will perform in Limerick this August as part of the Live at the Dockland series in what will be his biggest Limerick headline show to date.

Speaking at the launch, Mick Dolan said: “Moncrieff’s ascendancy is remarkable, performing stellar shows in all our venues, Upstairs In Dolans, Dolans Warehouse, Live at the Big Top and King Johns Castle, it’s no surprise to see him headline a Live at the Docklands Show. An electric performer this will be one of the shows of the summer.”

After a string of successful EPs and singles that have earned him 50 million streams since 2017, accolades like the RTÉ Choice Music Prize 2023 for & Irish Song of the Year (for his 2022 hit 'Warm'), and performances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza Berlin, Moncrieff could have stayed the course. But he chose not to. His earlier singer-songwriter style
could no longer contain what was neatly lined up on the floor of his room.

"Honest edge and grit" – these are the words that spring to his mind when describing the character of his debut album. Where smooth lines once existed, now there are rough edges. The Moncrieff of 2024 is rawer, more vulnerable, and less polished. He is ready to lay his weaknesses bare and explore themes like masculinity, sexuality, and identity in a way he never has before.

Moncrieff plus special guests will play Live at the Docklands, Atlas Avenue on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Tickets priced at €49.50 including a booking fee will go on sale this Friday, December 13 at 9am from Dolans.ie and Ticketmaster.ie.
