THE THIRD annual Full Moon Rising (FMR) festival will take place in Seanie’s Farm in Kilmeedy on September 14, starting at 5,30pm.

This year, there will be a variety of live music across two stages including trad, rock and pop. Pop Gods, Public Demand, North of Fortitude, Clio, Davin Toomey, HighTide, Marion Kelly and Jason Hennessy and Generation Radio will all perform on the night.

An eclectic sound incorporating Rock, Pop, Indie, Blues and Trad, they have something to suit everyone. The Full Moon Kids Night will take place on Friday, September 13 with games, disco, face painting and much more to keep mini festival goers entertained.

Administrator for Kilmeedy Developmeny Ltd and volunteer for the festival Michelle O'Connell said the team is “beyond excited” about the upcoming festival. “If the last two years are anything to go by, we are in for an amazing weekend. We are also holding a kids event on September 13 with a truly unique act, not seen anywhere in these parts before.

Michelle added that FRM will allow them to make plans for the future use of the site. “We have completed our feasibility study and are raring to go with future developments for all the community to enjoy.”

Along with music, there will be an array of food vendors and fully stocked bars including non-alcoholic beverages
