Irish Eurovision entry Bambie Thug to drop music video on international women's day

Ireland's Eurovision hopeful, Bambie Thug, has confirmed the music video for their song 'Doomsday Blue' will be released tomorrow (March 8) on International Women's Day.

It comes following the news of the Cork native's Spotify success, with over one million streams amassed since its release in October 2023.

Bambie exploded onto screens during the Late Late Show Eurosong Special, where she was chosen to represent the country for the 2024 Eurovision.

She narrowly beat punk rocker Ailsha and boy band Next In Line, who took the runner-up spots.

The vote was split three ways between the Irish jury, public voting and the international jury, with Bambie achieving 8 points from the international jury, 12 points from the national jury and 12 points from the public vote.

Announcing news of the music video on their personal Instagram page, Bambie posted a photo of themself holding a burning book with the caption, "Doomsday Blue MV drops tomorrow on Eurovision YouTube channel at 9am GMT. Join the premier via link in my bio. SAVE THE DATE."

Eurovision 2024 is due to begin on May 7.
