Huge guests confirmed for RTE Late Late Show on Friday after Toy Show

In a departure for the new series of the RTE Late Late Show, producers have announced a guest three weeks ahead of time - but for very good reason.

Producers have kept the weekly line-up under wraps to add a little mystery to the show for viewers since the new series began in September.

In previous years, the RTE press office announced the full line-up 24 hours ahead of air time on Friday.

This year with new host Patrick Kielty at the helm, the only guest officially announced ahead of time was Jean Claude Van Damme.

That changed again last night as Kielty beamed from Donnybrook to the UK to chat to Take That who will appear on the show in three weeks time.

The band featuring lead singer Gary Barlow informed fans that Patrick Kielty had invited them to appear on the show on December 1, the week after the Toy Show.

The lads explained that the reason for the early announcement was to allow fans in Ireland apply to appear in the audience on the night they join Patrick to discuss their new album This Life and their tour in 2024.

Fans can apply on www.rte.ie/latelate.
