The 2025 Rose of Tralee tour kicked off this Sunday in the historic and culturally rich County Meath, with the award-winning Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim playing host to the Roses as the official base during their stay.

First port of call was Emerald Park where the Roses got to experience many of the 45 eye-popping rides, a diverse zoo with unique experiences, and fantastic show-stopping events.

On Monday, the Roses will enjoy an evening of glamour and celebration at the Rose of Tralee Tour Ball in the Knightsbrook Hotel.

Later in the week, the Rose Tour will stop in Limerick and in County Kerry, before the 32 International Roses are officially welcomed to Tralee on Friday for the 2025 Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Speaking at a send-off event hosted by the Limerick Rose Centre, Leah McMahon said it will be an exciting few days and that she is looking forward to passing through Limerick on the way to Tralee. “I feel so privileged that I get the opportunity to show off Limerick because it’s just fantastic," she said.

"I love my county, I have never ever left my county. (It's where) I was born, I raised my family, I went to school - I work in Limerick so I am a big advocate for Limerick," she added.

The International Rose of Tralee Festival runs from Friday, August 15 to Tuesday, August 19, with televised selection nights on RTÉ One at 8PM on Monday and Tuesday.

The new International Rose will be crowned  just before 11PM on Tuesday, when Limerick locals will be holding their breath to see whether Leah McMahon will be the 4th Shannonsider to collect the coveted title, after Diane Hannigan (1984), Muireann Hurley 1994) & Sinead Flanagan (2019).
