"Over the moon to get over the line. It's been a very hectic few weeks and we're delighted to get the win. We were very confident the whole year, we knew the panel that we had. We wanted to right the wrongs pf last year" said UL Fitzgibbon Cup winner Adam English.
English scored 0-2 in UL's Fitzgibbon Final victory over DCU in the Connacht GAA centre of excellence on Saturday afternoon. In the last five months English has won a Senior Hurling Championship with Doon along with a Fitzgibbon Cup medal with UL.
The Doon clubman will now switch his focus to Limerick's round four Allianz Hurling League clash against Kilkenny on Sunday February 23 at 1:45pm in UPMC Nowlan.
After UL's victory over DCU in the Fitzgibbon Cup final, Leader Sport spoke with Adam English.
