"We are absolutely delighted to be back there now. Thank god, we went one step further than last year. It was a heartbreaking way to lose out last year. The scoreline had no reflection of the game. Patrickswell made it really hard for us out there. Even when we thought the game might have been over, it wasn't over. Patrickswell just have so many good players. I'm just delighted now" said Doon centre half back Barry Murphy.
Doon defeated Patrickswell 2-24 to 2-12 in the Limerick SHC semi-final on Sunday afternoon in Kilmallock. The East Limerick side will face Na Piarsaigh in the Limerick SHC final on Sunday, October 27 at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
That game will repeat of last year's Limerick SHC semi-final which Na Piarsaigh dramatically won on penalties.
After the game, Leader Sport caught up with Doon's Barry Murphy.
