WATCH: 'This time last year we were in the depths of despair, but that's not the case this year' says Doon's Darragh Stapleton

Doon have made it three wins from three in the Senior Hurling Championship after a narrow victory over Na Piarsaigh

"This time last year we were in the depths of despair with only a shock win over Patrickswell" was Darragh Stapleton from Doon's reaction to his side winning all three of their group games so far in this year's Bons Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling Championship after his side produced a one-point victory over Na Piarsaigh in the third round.

Speaking after the game in which Adam English's final point gifted the victory for Doon, full-forward Stapleton went on to say: "Last year we weren't going well at all, on the other side of that thankfully this year things have changed for us in terms of results. You still have to keep going during the break after we play Mungret St Paul's and there is things we need to improve on to make sure that we come in the top four of this group but for now we are grateful for the victory."

Doon face another trip to Kilmallock to meet Mungret St Paul's next Saturday at 4:30pm where they will try and maintain their unbeaten run.
