THE UNIVERSITY of Limerick's bid for a third Fitzgibbon Cup title in as many years is still on following an eight-point win over UCC at Maguire's Field on Wednesday night.
However, Brian Ryan's side were handed their toughest test so far in this year's competition with the Cork side the better side in the opening half hour.
UL were a different outfit after the break and outscored UCC by 1-12 to 0-5. Following the victory, Ryan said that the game could be exactly what his panel of players needed.
