FINE Gael TD Kieran O'Donnell has taken the second seat in Limerick City at the 2024 General Election.
The Castletroy man, an accountant by trade, passed the quota of 8,435 after a transfer from his running mate Senator Maria Byrne.
He received a total of 8,755 votes, and was elected at the 10th count. He now has a surplus of 320 votes to give out.
It is Mr O'Donnell's fourth time being elected to Dáil Eireann.
He made his breakthrough in the old Limerick East constituency back in 2007, and was re-elected as part of the Fine Gael surge in 2011.

Five years on, he missed out on the last seat to Labour's Jan O'Sullivan, and was subsequently elected to Seanad Eireann.
But following ex-Finance Minister Michael Noonan's retirement in 2020, he regained his seat in the Lower House.
There was no elimination on this count in Limerick City.
Instead, Mr O'Donnell's surplus of 320 is being distributed.
Just five candidates remain the running for the final two seats in Limerick City.
They are Cllr Sarah Beasley, Aontu, Cllr Elisa O'Donovan, Social Democrats, Maurice Quinlivan, Sinn Fein, Dee Ryan, Fianna Fail and Cllr Conor Sheehan, Labour.
