"We are very disappointed. We felt, we were good enough. The four or five day turnaround was unacceptable. You could see there, ten minutes into the second half that we ran out of juice. I think that comes down to not having the two weeks that Eire Óg had. It is disappointing but that's the card we were dealt with and we had to play them" said Adare senior football manager Harry Gleeson.
Eire Óg defeated Adare in the Munster SFC quarter-final yesterday afternoon in Cusack Park. The Limerick led 0-4 to 0-2 at the break. Goals proved to be difference in the second half as the Clare champions hung on for a five point victory.
After the game, Leader Sport caught up with Adare senior football manager Harry Gleeson.
