"I can't put into words right now how special this feeling is and having captained this team through all the heart breaks this win is ever more special" says Adare senior football captain Eoghan Costelloe after his sides victory in the county final against Fr Caseys this afternoon.
This was Adare's fourth consecutive senior football final with Harry Gleeson's charges finally getting their hands on the sliverware after years of heartbreak to the hands of Newcastle West.
All that experience and composure were evident throughout the contest as Fr Caseys came back fighting in the second-half to bring the margin down to two-points at one stage.
Outstanding performances from Hugh Bourke and Shane Costelloe were enough for Adare to get over the line and progress through to the quarter-final of the Munster Championship next Sunday against Éire Óg of Ennis.
