NA Piarsaigh retianed their senior status on Thursday evening at Rathbane after the Caherdavin side defeated Monaleen 1-8 to 0-10. A free from Dylan Cronin sealed the victory on 58 minutes to make it back to back wins for Na Piarsaigh.
After securing their status, manager Michael Lynch feels reaching the knockout stages is a now real possibility for his side.
"Last year, we got to a quarter-final and that was our goal at the start of the year. When you look at the senior championship, you look at both groups there's no easy games. Our first step was to get points on the board. Tonight was really about cementing our senior status. Now we have an opportunity to get to a quarter-final and that's a goal that we will be pushing towards" said Lynch.
After Na Piarsaigh's round four victory in the Limerick SFC, last years quarter-finalists now sit third of group one. Lynch's side face Adare in the final round of the Limerick SFC.
After the game, Leader Sport caught up with Na Piarsaigh manager Michael Lynch.
