"Our subs made a big difference when they came on and we needed all five subs. Sometimes a player can have a bad day in the office and getting someone off the bench to make the difference is huge. It was a real team win tonight," was Adare senior football manager Harry Gleeson's reaction after his side defeated Ballylanders to record their second win of the group stages of the Irish Wire Products Limerick senior football championship on Thursday night.
With only a one-point lead at half-time, Adare came out the stronger side in the second half with Mike O'Mahoney proving pivotal with his frees, while their substitutes made a huge difference in the back-line.
Adare now face St Kieran's next Thursday evening in Round 4 of the championship in Askeaton at 6.30pm.
