WATCH: Limerick minor football manager analyses thrilling win over Fermanagh

Limerick minor footballers defeated Fermanagh 3-11 to 0-8 in All-Ireland minor football tier three championship preliminary quarter-final

THE Limerick minor footballers defeated Fermanagh on a final scoreline of 3-11 to 0-08 in All-Ireland minor football Tier Three championship preliminary quarter final at the Connacht GAA Centre of excellence on Saturday afternoon. 

Limerick trailed 1-1 to 0-6 at half-time with a goal from Cian Costello keeping the Shannonsiders within touching distance.

The Shannonsiders produced a strong second half performance where they outscored their opponents 2-10 to 0-02 which ultimately proved to be the difference. 

The Limerick minor footballers now advance to the All-Ireland minor football championship quarter-final. 

Afterwards Leader Sport caught up with Limerick minor football manager Ger O'Connor to get his reaction to the game.
