PICTURE SPECIAL: Summer Party in Dolan’s Warehouse in Limerick

Waiting for Video...

LEADING Limerick music venue Dolan’s played host to their second ‘summer party’ across all areas of their Dock Road premises last weekend, and the Limerick Leader was there to capture some of the highlights.

The bash is quickly becoming the event of the summer on the Limerick music calender and returned after the success of last year’s event. The all-day event boasted a wealth of top Irish and local music talent - curated by Limerick record label Out On A Limb, top local rockers Windings and promoters A Love Supreme.

As such there was three distinct rooms boasting live music, the Warehouse, the Upstairs stage and in the Bar, which featured DJs, acoustic sets and collaborations.

Organisers called it a “veritable feast of musical madness” and indeed it was.

The Warehouse, curated by OOAL, featured some of the country’s top indie talent: Crayonsmith, local rockers Dead Red Light, Elk, The Jimmy Cake, Jogging, So Cow, Ten Past Seven and Tieranniesaur.

Local rockers Windings curated a top notch line-up in the Upstairs venue with Dott, Girl Band, The Great Balloon Race, Land Lovers, Magic Pockets, Melodica Deathship, MynameisjOhn and Percolator.

The A Love Supreme chill-out area of the bar hosted top scratching talent Mikey Fingerz, with Tokin’ White Boy, the Jimmy Cake, MynameisjOhn, PC and Jason Murphy all dropping in, while short film ‘Twitch - A Clubber’s Guide to Limerick’ was also screened.

Photographer Dave Gaynor was there to capture the action, as was Ken Coleman, who sent us in some great shots.
