The League of Ireland have confirmed that Treaty United’s SSE Airtricity Premier Division clash with Galway United will be broadcast live on TG4

The tie which will take place on Saturday, September 5 at Eamon Deacy Park, with a 7.35pm kick-off.

Galway currently occupy third spot on 31 points whilst Laurie Ryan’s Treaty side sit in sixth position on 22 points.

With the Shannonsiders hosting struggling Bohemians this weekend, Treaty could be heading to Galway looking to cut the gap on the Tribeswomen.

The Limerick side will be looking to bounce back against the side from the capital having tasted defeat last time out in the Premier Division to Wexford Youths in the south-east a fortnight ago.

The Shannonsiders suffered a setback on the banks of the River Slaney when they fell to a disappointing 4-2 defeat at Ferrycarrig Park.

Goals from Emma Oliphant and Fiona Doherty were cancelled out by a brace from Christie Gray, sending the sides in level at the break.

However, the Youths seized control in the second half, with Courtney Chochol and substitute Mia Whelan finding the net to claim all three points.

A win over ‘Bohs’ at the Markets Field on Saturday could prove vital moving forward for the Super Blues.

Kick-off in Garryowen is at 3pm and the clash will be broadcast live on LOITV.
