Strong finish sees Templeglantine book Munster camogie final spot

Cillard of Kerry await in the Munster final for Templeglantine
TEMPLEGLANTINE booked a spot in the Munster Junior Club Camogie Championship final, keeping up their good form with a 3-10 to 3-5 win over Eire Og, Ennis.
Three goals in an 11-minute spell in the fourth quarter were key as the west Limerick side won their third big game in eight days to book a spot in the provincial decider.
The Limerick side trailed by a point, 1-4 to 0-6 at the break despite three pointed frees from Stephanie Woulfe - a superb long-range effort reduced the deficit to the minimum with the last puck of the first half.
But midway through the second half it all changed.
Stacey Flynn was sharpest when the Eire Og goalkeeper was loose with a clearance.
Flynn blocked down the attempted clearance and the ball ended up in the back of the net.
Noelle Curtin, the county final hero, repeated the trick on Saturday, scoring two late goals to secure the stunning victory.
Both finishes showed the touch of class associated with Curtin in this run to a provincial decider.
Woulfe then put the icing on the cake with her first from play to cap off a famous day for Templeglantine.
Cillard of Kerry await in the provincial final which will take place on November 14 at 1.30pm at a venue which will be set by the Munster Council. The Kerry side earned their first ever win in Munster with a 0-7 to 0-6 extra-time win over Abbeyside.
