Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for six Irish counties.
The counties impacted by the warning, which takes effect on Thursday afternoon, are Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal
Sharing the warning, a spokesperson for Met Éireann said: "On Thursday afternoon and evening there will be strong and very gusty west to northwest winds."
