End of sunny spell pinpointed by Met Éireann with rain set to return

Wednesday will be another dry day for most with a mix of sunshine and cloud. While a few light showers may develop, they will be the exception. Highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees, mildest in the South, all in a light to moderate northerly breeze.

Tonight will be generally dry under broken cloud with just a few showers across the North and Northwest. Chilly with lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees, coldest where clear breaks persist. A few mist patches too with light variable breezes.

Things won't be as good on Thursday with scattered showers in the north and northwest early on Thursday with a few sunny spells elsewhere.

It will become cloudier everywhere through the day with some showery outbreaks of rain developing. Highest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees in light to moderate northerly or variable breezes, coolest across northern and eastern fringes.
