'Make the most of it' - Ireland weather u-turn on the cards as low pressure approaches

A low pressure weather system could bring Ireland's dry and sunny spell to an unsettled end next weekend.
Meteorologist Cathal Nolan from Ireland's Weather Channel said "more sunshine is expected across the country tomorrow [Monday], however parts of the north and northeast could be influenced by a weak weather front sinking south across the UK, bringing more cloud here."
He added: "Elsewhere it’s a case of pleasant spells of sunshine, where it will be feeling warm once again with temperatures getting up to 18 or 19 degrees Celsius in some areas. UV levels will be moderate countrywide."
Despite the sunny outlook, Cathal tempered his comments by saying, "please make the most of the sunshine today, as conditions become more unsettled from Wednesday onwards with low pressure exerting more of an influence on our weather with less in the way of sunshine."
In the meantime, "the best chances of sunny spells will be across the Midlands, south and west as we see winds switch into a northerly direction," according to Cathal.
"Temperatures during this period will range typically between 14-17 degrees Celsius, maybe up to 18 or 19 degrees still tomorrow in parts of the west and Midwest in particular. Winds will remain light, and northerly in direction."
Cathal goes on to say "uncertainty prevails" in his outlook for next weekend, "with the two main weather models split in terms of the outlook.
"ECMWF keeps it dry and mostly settled, GFS backs unsettled weather with a risk of strong winds and heavy rain."
