Larkin Bullman admitted filling a car with €50 worth of diesel at Ennis Road service station before driving off without paying
A LIMERICK judge warned a young man convicted of stealing €50 worth of diesel that he “needs to be aware that if you lie down with the dogs, you will get up with the fleas.”
Larkin Bullman, aged 20, with an address at Sheelin Road, Caherdavin, appeared before Limerick District Court charged with a Section 4 theft offence arising from the incident.
Prosecuting Sergeant Denis Waters told the court that at 12.10am on June 23, 2025, at the Applegreen service station on the Ennis Road, Mr Bullman exited the passenger side of a black Toyota Avensis and filled the vehicle with €50 worth of diesel.

The court heard that when he returned to the car, the driver drove away without making any attempt to pay. Mr Bullman was later identified through CCTV footage.
Sergeant Waters told the court that Mr Bullman has 19 previous convictions, including six for Section 4 theft offences and four for criminal damage.
In mitigation, defence solicitor John Herbert said his client made “no attempt to hide himself” and had entered a guilty plea.
Presiding Judge Patricia Harney warned Mr Bullman that he “needs to be aware that if you lie down with the dogs, you get up with the fleas.”
She convicted Mr Bullman and imposed a €100 fine, giving him three months to pay.
