A status yellow low temperature/ice warning has been issued
MET Éireann is warning that temperatures in Limerick and across the country are set to plummet again this Monday night as the current cold snap continues.
A cold weather advisory remains in place for the entire country until Friday night while a status yellow low temperature/ice warning is due to take effect from 9pm.
A status yellow fog/ice warning, issued in the early hours of Monday, ended at 10am.
The latest warning from Met Éireann will remain valid until 10am on Tuesday and road users, in particular, are being urged to exercise caution.

According to the latest forecast, temperatures are expected to drop to as low as -5 in places overnight.
Crews from Limerick City and County Council have been placed on standby and primary roads across the city and county will be treated where appropriate.
