
TODAY will be cloudy to start with outbreaks of showery rain, heavy and prolonged in places.
Some brighter spells in the afternoon but scattered heavy showers will develop too, bringing a chance of thunder, hail and spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees with light to moderate southeast to east breezes, forecasts Met Eireann.

MONDAY Night will bring further showers, but they will become more isolated and there will be decent clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with light southwest or variable breezes.
TUESDAY will bring sunshine and showers, heaviest and most widespread through the afternoon and evening with isolated thunderstorms possible. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with moderate west to northwest breezes. On Tuesday night, there will be further showers, but they will be more scattered. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
WEDNESDAY will bring sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will be mainly in the west at first but they will spread elsewhere by the afternoon. Light to moderate westerly breezes and highs of 15 to 19 degrees.
THURSDAY will be another day of sunny spells and showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with light westerly breezes. On Thursday night, rain will move in from the west.
FRIDAY will be mostly cloudy with rain spreading eastwards across the country, heavy at times. It will clear to scattered showers by Friday night. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with moderate southerly winds.
NEXT WEEKEND will continue unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain. Temperatures will be in the mid to high teens.
