THE FAULKNER family have been plunged into more grief after Scarlett’s brother tragically passed away this Sunday.

Many tributes have poured in for Jason Faulkner, one of 16 siblings from Longpavement on the northside of Limerick city. He was one of the pallbearers at Scarlett’s emotional funeral in St Munchin’s Church and burial in Meelick Cemetery on Friday.

The Scarlettarmy Facebook page, which was set up following the assault on Scarlett in Birdhill last month, posted this Sunday that there is “further Heartbreak for the Faulkner family”.

“It’s with a broken heart we must announce that Scarlett’s beloved brother Jason has sadly passed away. Banny and Mary have been utterly destroyed by these events. It’s utterly heartbreaking for them.

“The killing of Scarlett has destroyed this poor family, God Bless you Jason, we will pray for your soul and pray that you can now find peace with your sister Scarlett,” reads the post which concludes by asking everyone to “please pray for this family.”

One person posted on social media: “It’s a sad world we live in. Poor Banny and Mary buried their daughter Scarlett two days ago and now their son.

“God may mind them and keep them strong. Pray for all the family again. This is a painful world. Rest in peace, Jason.”

Another person took to social media to express their condolences to the Faulkner family.

“My heart… Two days after burying your sister Scarlett, you're gone now Jason, her lovely brother.

“The laughs we had… Oh Jason what are the family going to do. I can't get my head around it. No doubt Scarlett was there to meet you, together again forever. Please keep Mary and Banny and family in your prayers,” they wrote.

May Jason rest in peace.
