TODAY will continue to track eastwards on Wednesday morning, clearing into the Irish Sea in the early afternoon.

The rain will be followed by sunny spells and showers with moderate west to northwest wind.

Becoming mainly dry later in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees generally.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

Mainly dry with clear spells TONIGHT. Lowest temperatures 9 or 10 degrees with westerly winds easing.

Mainly dry and sunny TOMORROW with fair weather, cloud and isolated showers in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees in a moderate westerly breeze.

Mainly dry with clear spells at first TOMORROW NIGHT, rain will develop in the west and spread eastwards later. Lowest temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees in a moderate westerly breeze.

Rain will become widespread on FRIDAY, turning heavy at times, especially in the west, drier conditions will persist longest in the south and southeast. Westerly winds will freshen with highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees.

SATURDAY will be mainly dry with sunny spells and isolated showers. Highest temperatures 20 or 21 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds.

The extended outlook continues the unsettled spell with temperatures a little lower than recently and rain or showers at times on a moderate to fresh westerly wind.
