Limerick Weather: Tuesday, June 13, 2023

VERY warm today with sunny spells and scattered showers.

Some of the showers will be heavy with a chance of thunderstorms developing later in the afternoon and evening with the potential for spot flooding.

Highest temperatures of 22 to 25 degrees generally and light southeasterly breezes, it will be a little cooler near the coast with an onshore breeze through the afternoon and some patches of coastal mist or fog are also possible, forecasts Met Eireann.

National Outlook

OVERVIEW: Very warm throughout the week with sunny spells along with heavy showers or thunderstorms in some parts. The UV Index and Pollen Count will be High.

TUESDAY NIGHT: A muggy night with showers early on in the west dying out. Dry and clear in many areas with some mist and fog forming. Temperatures not falling below 13 to 15 degrees with a light easterly breeze.

WEDNESDAY: Very warm or hot with temperatures reaching 23 to 27 degrees for most, less warm along coasts. Good spells of hazy sunshine although scattered heavy downpours or thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and evening, most likely in the west and midlands. Light southeast breezes.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Another mild night with temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees and very light breezes. Lingering showers will die out with a dry night for many. Turning misty with some fog possible.

THURSDAY: Very warm with sunny spells, although hit or miss heavy showers or thunderstorms are likely to develop during the day. Highs largely between 22 to 26 degrees with little to no wind aside from sea breezes.

FRIDAY: Some showers expected again on Friday mixed with hazy sunny spells. Highs of 22 to 25 degrees, a little lower along coasts.

FURTHER OUTLOOK: Humid and warm weather with showers likely to continue over the weekend, although possibly turning cloudier.
