Limerick Weather: Monday, May 22, 2023

ANY rain will soon clear to give a dry day with long spells of sunshine.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in light to moderate northerly winds, forecasts Met Eireann.

National Outlook

Overview: Dry for most of the coming week with just occasional light rain and showers. Temperatures staying in the mid to high teens but often cooler for the northwest.

Monday night: Staying dry and clear for most through the night, though it will turn cloudier overnight in the northwest. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in a light northwesterly breeze.

Tuesday: A generally dry day with spells of hazy sunshine. Somewhat cloudier in the north and west with the chance of coastal drizzle. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, a little cooler along northwestern coasts in light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Tuesday night: Largely dry with clear spells. Remaining cloudier in the west and north. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light westerly breeze.

Wednesday: Dry with sunny spells in the south and east. Cloudier conditions over the north and west with a few patches of light rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, possibly reaching 20 degrees in the south or east. Coolest in the northwest with light to moderate northwest winds.

Thursday: Another generally dry day. Rather cloudy to start but spells of sunshine will develop through the day. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees for many, but a few degrees cooler in the northwest. Moderate northerly winds.

Friday and the weekend: Staying dry for most with good spells of sunshine and the chance of just the odd light shower. Warm with temperatures gradually increasing into the high teens or low twenties for most places.
