TREATY United will look to re-ignite their fading promotion play-off hopes in the SSE Airtricity League First Division when facing Kerry FC in a Munster derby clash at the Markets Field on Friday night, 7.45pm.

Eighth-placed Treaty are now a significant 11 points off the promotion play-off positions in the SSE Airtricity League First Division after suffering a disappointing 5-0 thumping at the hands of Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on Friday night.

The Seagulls netted all five of their goals inside a madcap opening period, with Kieran Cruise scoring a hat-trick, while Ben Feeney bagged a brace.

There are now just seven games remaining in the First Division regular season. Treaty had suffered a 1-3 defeat at home to Wexford FC in their previous league outing.

Treaty United sit 10 points clear of ninth-placed Kerry FC in the First Division table ahead of Friday night's Munster derby.
Treaty suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Kerry FC at Mounthawk Park in the league on the June Bank Holiday Monday.

Treaty's meeting with Kerry at the Markets Field in April ended in a 1-1 draw, while their first meeting of 2024 resulted in a 1-0 win for Tommy Barrett's side at Mounthawk Park at the start of April.
