FAI Cup action is up next for Treaty United Women's side who face Ferns United at the Markets Field this Saturday, August 3 with a 5pm kick-off.
Dominic Foley's side suffered a heart-breaking 2-1 defeat to Wexford FC in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division at the Markets Field on Saturday. It was Treaty's seventh league defeat of the season to date. The home side scored an equalising goal in the final minute of the game, but Wexford's Ellen Molloy snatched the victory for the visitors in the 94th minute with a wonder goal.
The Treaty women's side will be aiming to bounce back from their disappointing loss with a home victory in the first round of the FAI Cup.
Their opponents this Saturday, Ferns United, play local league soccer in Wexford with home side Treaty United going into the game as favourites given that they play at a higher level.
