Treaty United and Pike Rovers host FAI Cup second round ties

The Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup

TREATY United and local junior side Pike Rovers are in Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup second round action this Friday and Saturday.

Treaty United, fresh from 1-1 draw with UCD in the SSE Airtricity League First Division at Belfield on Friday night last, host Kilbarrack in the Cup on Friday evening at the Markets Field.

Mark Walsh netted Treaty's goal in their draw with the students on Friday.

The meeting of First Division Treaty United and Leinster Senior League side Kilbarrack United will kick-off at the Markets Field at 7.45pm.

Meanwhile, Pike Rovers, were also handed a home draw in the second round. Limerick District League League side Pike will host Munster Senior League Premier Division champions Midleton at Pike Rovers Sportsgound this Saturday afternoon at 3pm.

While Treaty United are currently in the middle of their competitive season, with Tommy Barrett's side sitting in eighth place in the First Division table, Pike Rovers will not return to competitive action in their own league until August 15 when the first fixture of the 2024/2025 season in the LDL Premier Division will be played.
