Clinical Treaty United secure precious win in Women's Premier Division

CLINICAL Treaty United secured three precious points in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division after securing an exciting 2-0 victory over DLR Waves at UCD Bowl on Saturday afternoon.

The convincing victory ended a four-game losing run for Treaty United in the league.

First half goals from Delana Friesen and Danielle Steer helped Dominic Foley's Treaty United side secure an impressive victory.

First-half goals from Delana Friesen and Danielle Steer in the 11th and 27th minutes ensured that the gap between the two sides is now four points, the same amount that separates the Waves and Sligo Rovers at the bottom of the table.

Katie Lawlee and Grace McInerney provided the assists for the crucial goals.

Treaty United sit in ninth place in the table after the win, but now four points clear of DLR Waves.

Next up for Treaty is a home league meeting with Wexford FC at the Markets Field on Saturday, July 27.
