TREATY United will look to re-ignite their SSE Airtricity League First Division promotion play-off bid when travelling to Blefield to take on UCD this Friday evening, 7.45pm.
Tommy Barrett's Treaty Utd side suffered a last gasp 1-0 defeat to Cobh Ramblers in their First Division fixture at the Markets Field on Thursday night last.
Jack Larkin's 90th minute winner saw Ramblers snatch all three points at the Garryowen venue. After this dramatic defeat, Treaty United sit in eighth place in the table, seven points off the promotion play-off places.
Treaty manager Barrett said the side would need to go on a three or four game winning run if they are to get themselves into the promotion play-off places.
Barrett said: “We know that we need to win three or four in a row if we want to try to make the playoffs.
“We’ve already beaten and we know that it will be a difficult game but it's not beyond us. We just need to start taking our chances and score more goals.”
Barrett said the recent signing of Limerick native Lee J Lynch was a major boost for the squad.
“In terms of Lee J (Lynch), he will be a massive for us. He’s good on the ball and he’s full of energy we just can’t wait to get him on the pitch and that’s where he'll do his talking.”
