TREATY United will look to make it back-to-back wins in the SSE Airtricity League today, Bank Holiday Monday, as Tommy Barrett's charges face Kerry FC at Mounthawk Park, 5pm.

Treaty ended a 14-game run without a win when defeating Longford Town 1-0 at the Markets Field on Friday night last. The Markets Field-based side were without a league success since March 1, but managed to get over the line against the Red and Black, with Mark Byrne netting the winner.

Treaty United sit in eighth place in the SSE Airtricity League First Division table, seven points off the promotion play-off places, the final one of which is occupied by Bray Wanderers.

Manager Tommy Barrett is expecting a stiff test from Kerry, who sit one spot beneath Treaty United in the First Division table.

Barrett said: "Look it’ll be tough. They’ve improved their squad massively and have increased their budget a lot. They’re training 4 or 5 times a week and they have a really decent setup down there so yeah it’ll be really tough."

Victory for Treaty United in Kerry would boost their promotion play-off hopes.

"I’ve said it before, we know we are capable of putting a few wins together. We’re fourth in the league defensively which says a lot about the boys," Tommy Barrett said.

"The boys are gritty, they're tough and they’ll keep plugging away. Hopefully, we can get three points down in Kerry, but it'll be
tough. Kerry are a good side, they’ve good players but look we don’t really fear anyone, we just need to take our chances and keep clean sheets."
