Limerick's Castlemahon lose out to David Clifford-led Fossa in Munster Club JFC semi-final

CASTLEMAHON'S Munster club junior football campaign has come to an end this Saturday afternoon after suffering a heavy 20-point defeat at the hands of Kerry champions Fossa in their semi-final cash at Coolyoe. 

This Munster club junior football semi-final finished 1-22 to 0-5 in favour of Fossa in a fixture which was played before a sold-out attendance. 

Limerick champions Castlemahon had a mountain to climb at the half time break after the David Clifford-led Fossa side took a 13-point lead in the dressing room.

Kerry champions Fossa extended this lead to 20 points by full time. 

Castlemahon's first point from play came in the 49th minute with substitute Mike Fitzgibbon slotted over for the hosts. 

After two quick-fire Emmet O'Shea points put Fossa 1-22 to 0-3 ahead, Alan Roche scored two late scores to narrow the deficit to 20 points.
